Bill Barr got the Iran Contra folks pardoned in the 80’s. They were directly responsible for vasts amounts of cocaine flooding into our inner cities, not to mention guns. Then he spoke about the federal law enforcement crack down of the early 90’s resulting in mass incacerarions.
Now he wants that again, targeting ‘gangs and violent crime’ is a code word for racial injustice and a boon for the prison-industrial complex. Or in simpler terms: he is declaring war on the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement and all of us who stand against Trump. @realDonaldTrump
U.S. Attorney, FBI, ATF and DEA task forces have been working with local law enforcement for years to curb gang/gun violence. Why are the existing task forces all of a sudden not working? Did they stop when COVID-19 started? If no, then this is more Trump BS.
I watched a segment on 60 Minutes a few yrs ago, black guy in Chicago was fiming the drug dealers across the street as vehicle after vehicle pulled up to make a buy. Every driver was white. Whatever is wrong in the black neighborhoods starts in the white suburbs.

He was not continuing to approach. He was standing in place. If he was violating legal orders to retreat, a non-violent arrest was the spot action.
