Twitter stopped accepting applications for verified accounts in Feb. 18. I didn’t join until 12/18. I have fake accounts impersonate me and DM folks asking for money. The only new account they have given a checkmark to since 2/18 is a Trump Campaign account. @TwitterSupport
Everytime I report a fake account that uses my name and photo to Twitter they make me send in a copy of my passport before they will consider taking down ‘fake’ account. They couldn’t make it harder to be legit on Twitter, the bots are a feature, not a bug. @jack
