It wasn't class. Nixon was forced out. If he could have stayed he absolutely would. He was convinced he had no choice. Please don't let the insanity of Trump gloss over Nixon's massive evils.
It’s called irony mate, Nixon was anything but classy, but even Trump makes him look good. My grandfather worked alongside Nixon for his entire career and then left the foreign service and became an ex-pat re: Nixon not listening to him and only to Kissinger. I know who he was.

I hear you (or read, when I can't hear text). But I also hear people - just all the time these days - lend credibility to Nixon, Reagan, and Bush, as if those were the "good Republican presidents." It just beats me up. But I follow you.

It's amazing Republicans get any votes at all. Reagan was also an unmitigated fraud who got away with so many unconstitutional acts. When have we had a good one? Not in living memory.
