Cory’s security guard told me that Booker tweeted to his constituents ‘tell me what you need’ and they would respond for ex. ‘We need baby food & diapers, and give an address’ he would then go buy it on his own dime and deliver. His guard said: “that guy is the real deal”
P.S. the flip side of that was Chris Christie, who while half his state was under water showed up with a shoe box full of Springsteen ticket stubs and tried to fulfill his dream of a selfie with Bruce. It was one of the most blatant acts of IDGAF I have ever seen.@ChrisChristie
