All Republicans care about is how much gear/weapons they can outfit that soldier with. Their patriotism is to the business of war and not the soldier themselves.

Yup. This is borne out by the 180° shift from the NATO boosting, Russia-leery party we know and love to the anti-NATO, Russia-hugging Republicans they became overnight. And somehow it's all still worth someone else dying over.

God I’ve been saying that for 50 years. I saw how they treated my Dad when back from WW2. He was 90% disabled and they gave my Mom $25.00 a month for 4 kids! I am anti-war always.

Lived that firsthand in the Vietnam war. Also a loved one taught a GED class of "last chance" offenders who had to either finish the class or be shipped off to war.
