Same. I was told in my late 20’s in the years since I have left a personal little drawing/note and a tip in every hotel all around the world. Once at a Super Bowl in Houston a few years back, the housekeeper wrote me a note of gratitude back. It’s my most prized ‘road treasure.’

Yes I remember being made aware of this in the 80s, regardless of hotel, I too leave a gratitude note with a cash tip. Any way that makes another happy makes me happier.
