My father was at Normandy. He avoided the draft as long as he could, but he went. He was scared but he returned home with pride for what he did. I'm very proud of him and I miss him dearly.

My father was there as well, with the Canadian Armed Forces. He also fought in the Korean war. I wasn't born until the late 50's but my mom said my father was a changed man after those 2 wars. I am proud and grateful for every man and woman's courage and sacrifices.
