Trump says he'll be meeting with law enforcement, first responders and victims today. He describes his trip as "a terrific opportunity to congratulate some of the police and the law enforcement" for an "incredible" job.

Trump describes critics as "political people from Texas who aren't doing very well." On tone, he claims he already has "toned it down." He describes the killers as mentally ill. He says, "I would like to stay out of the political fray." (He attacked O'Rourke last night.)

Trump says the US has been helping South Korea for "82 years" (?), but, in exchange, "We get nothing. We get virtually nothing."

Trump on white supremacist hate: "Whether it's white supremacy whether it's any other kind of supremacy, whether it's antifa, whether it's any group of hate, I am very concerned about it. And I'll do something about it."

Trump asserts that his rhetoric is not divisive. In fact, he says, "It brings people together."

Trump on Congress and guns: "I'll be convincing some people to do things they don't want to do."
