It's amazing how many armchair quarterbacks (mostly men) will say aloud, yes, if a wealthy insanely powerful man with an army of lawyers who could ruin my life and who happened to be the nominee for president raped me, I would definitely make it public.

Not only do you have no concept of what that experience is like, you're telegraphing your total obliviousness to the consequences that a woman who accuses the most powerful man in the country of rape faces--and not just from him, from his supporters as well.

E Jean is courageous to do this, and she is also probably getting a shitstorm of harassment in addition to the indignity of (inevitably) people suggesting that she's lying about her experience or doing this to profit from it.

And she did it knowing that those things were going to happen. It's not remarkable that she didn't come forward before now. It's remarkable that she's coming forward at all--and that anyone does.

Agreed. And also worth noting Trump employed several NYPD officers, including Keith Schiller in the mid 90’s as his personal security. He was out in the clubs every night, doing all sorts of things with his own gang that had badges. The women would have been on trial. Not him.
