Let's be absolutely clear, cis women claiming they had "gender dysphoria" as kids because they were tomboys are lying. They are deliberately conflating gender nonconformity with gender dysphoria, not because they believe it, but because it is useful to muddy the waters.
That's what this is, deliberate attempts to misinform and confuse people about trans issues. Because if they can confuse people's understanding of gender dysphoria, trans people get bogged down in explaining and clarifying these issues all over again. It is always in bad faith.
See how it works? Transphobic cis woman makes some claim about how if she were a child today, she'd be "transed" against her will for playing with the boys, so thank god she was allowed to grow up "normal" instead. Now all of trans twitter is jumping to correct this assertion.

By the way, just so we're on the same page? I don't believe you must have dysphoria to be trans, I'm just clarifying that dysphoria is not the same as nonconformity and that people who assert so are lying.
they're essentially trying to change dysphoria (which cannot be defined at any point as a choice, no one would accept it) with non-conformity (which has a chance in hell of the mainstream accepting it being defined as a choice and having a motive)
