It is going to be a messy one out there today into tomorrow morning. Please use caution if traveling today. Most of our area will see sleet/rain/snow. Travel could be tough at times, please take it slow! A second round of snow is possible Thursday and Friday. -645BV
Quote Tweet
The main change from the previous forecast is for less freezing rain, and more sleet today. Areas in west central and north central Minnesota will see more snow. There will be a short lull on Wednesday, then a couple days of light snow to round out the week #mnwx #wiwx

Overnight, our officer was on a traffic stop when his squad was struck by a drunk driver. If it wasn’t a side-swipe impact, it could have ended a lot worse. The drunk driver was arrested by . We’re grateful our officer wasn’t injured nor was the drunk driver.

“I’m off to the pound. You can contact 4PAWS in Shakopee if you’re my human. They hold me there for five days, then give me to new humans. I think my name is Lucky because that’s what’s hand-written on my harness, but I don’t have much training so I don’t listen. But am cute.”

We assisted @CarverSheriff with a traffic stop in our city today. A “ghost” gun was found in the vehicle - a new, concerning trend used in violent crime across the country. Glad we got one more off of your streets (the bottom of the firearm is covered for investigative purposes).

EPPD would like to remind drivers of the importance of stopping for school bus stop arms.
The law requires that drivers in both directions stop at least 20 feet away from a bus with its red lights flashing & stop arm extended. Fine is $500.
