Deeply saddened to see Article 13 pass and the potential for such a huge loss of the free and open internet. Now it's about how it'll be enforced. Keep speaking out about the importance of online culture. At this point, education is our best ally.

At this point it doesn't matter. Even before it passed YouTube was and still is broken if you play a clip of a song Copystrike If you hum a song Copystrike IF YOU EVEN THINK OF A SONG Copystrike And article 13 makes it worse by limiting what people can say.

Even the Happy Birthday song is copyrighted you can't sing it at restaurants or you'll have to leave. All memes will die and the internet will become nothing more than a barren wasteland. No one wants to use the internet if all entertainment is blocked.

If
@TeamYouTube doesn't fix it's current problem with false demonetizing and copystrikes then creators won't be motivated to upload and YouTube will continue to die. And with people using this to their advantage to gain more money will cause channels to get falsely terminated.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
But companies are just greedy and try to take as much money as possible no matter what. They don't care if you've uploaded videos from the very beginning they just want your money. And you can only get paid if you have a sponsor. Only if you promote their product you'll get paid.

Enjoy the memes and videos while you still can my friends because they'll all fade away once article 13 snaps it's fingers.
