Well, this is interesting. The messaging of Korean content on Netflix has been skewing towards white American viewers for the last few years, and I can see how this collab (cause that's what this is), will change the messaging to lean more politically conservative and bigoted.

This is a beyond absurd number of photocards for one group that will produce horrendous amounts of paper and plastic waste, making it one of the best examples of how the obsession with Kpop industry driven collectible consumerism creates pollution. Frankly, this should be illegal

Bang has always lacked imagination, a sense of true artistry and what makes good music (iykyk), and his intention to use AI to be as lazy and theiveing as possible to make music isn't surprising, and that the South Korean gov't is moving in that direction too, isn't a coincidence

MORNING! I have to keep reminding myself I'm in a different time zone from most of you.๐Ÿ™‚ Just had @ EGG DROP, and it was delicious. Will walk around a bit before heading back to my room. Might meet someone for lunch, then it's time to prep for the #KCrushBISFF opening ceremony

I'm actually betting on him doing just that. He's already made a couple films and been on some variety shows there already, so him tucking his tail between his legs and heading back to Korea wouldn't surprise me at all. Though I wonder if he's had convos with the Marvel team.๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿฟ

Right, the Phantom Camera. I knew they had used a relatively new 3D camera for #Dredd, but couldn't remember the name. The whole film has a very realistic depth of fielf that's natural, unlike some IMAX and 4D films. And the slomo shots are gorgeous. #Dredd #SaturdayNightSciFi

Really great use of the Phantom Camera, which was a relatively new and unused technology then, to visually sell a very neat idea about a drug that alters our perception of time. As you say...it's genre bombast & fun, but it's also ART...which is what GREAT genre films aspire to.

Mmhmm. She's fantastic as Mama. Both her and Karl play their characters pitch perfectly because these types of charcters can become comical very easily if the actors and directors don't toe the line carefully. Olivia Trilby is great as Anderson too. #Dredd #SaturdayNightSciFi

A hero is only as good as the villain of the story, so props to Lena Headey's performance as Ma-Ma. #SaturdayNightSciFi #Dredd

Yup. Robocop had to be that way because he had lost what made him physically human so needed to work to keep his humanity. Whereas Dredd was in a situation where he was psychologically distant from his humanity because he had no other choice but to be. #Dredd #SaturdayNightSciFi

Took me a minute to fully realize this thought-- DREDD and ROBOCOP have a lot of parallels but the key difference between them is that ROBOCOP is about finding one's humanity and DREDD is about removing it.

I think it's one of the best book/comic to screen adaptations ever done. Everything about it works because Pete and Alex didn't try to make it more than what the story of Judge Dredd was ever meant to be. The MCU and DCEU should take a lot of notes. #Dredd #SaturdayNightSciFi

#Dredd #SaturdayNightSciFi No seriously....this movie is technically the best video game adaptation because it's so damn much like Cyberpunk 2077

Agreed. Pete Travis and Alex Garland did a terrific job of keeping the story and pacing tight with no unnecessary dialgoe or scenes. Everything we're told and shown serves a purpose to the main and overall stories. #Dredd #SaturdayNightSciFi

The intro to Dredd is great. We only see part of a single building but we learn so much about the larger world without heavy, clunky exposition

Tiffany is another one who needs to get all their lashings and shame in Hollywood. Nothing that I've heard about this woman recently is good. She's abusive, manipulative, exploitive, and a sexual assaulter. What she's talking about in this audio is FORCED prostitution and abuse.

Tonight at 10pmEST #SaturdayNightSciFi, , the peeps and I will be live-tweeting what I think is one of the best screen chracterisations of an anti-hero, Judge #Dredd, played pitch perfectly by Karl Urban, and his nemsis Mom, played menaceingly by Leana Headley.
