The Brown family was so incredibly brave. What they stood up for and against is profoundly powerful. True and just causes that lift us all. We are indebted to them. RIP.

But....democracy requires ongoing work at the grass roots! And we, now, as the second most ignorant nation among all advanced ones....allowed a terrible erosion to gestate at out core over time.
