One final story: Mom always aspired to perfection in every task.
Among her many “hobbies” in retirement, she took a number of cooking classes and became and excellent chef.

Her kitchen was full of recipes with her notes and improvements.

When I came to her house a few hours after she had passed away, I saw a recipe for brownies on the kitchen counter.
