I want people to also talk about the poor reliability of the tests. I was given a test but am virtually certain it was a false negative and I actually had COVID. I later learned some tests have a 50% false negative rate; that's insane! And most have at least 20%...again awful.

In order to control a pandemic, we need tests that deliver rapid results AND are accurate. And we need to know the accuracy of the tests we are given. Contact tracing and containing an epidemic is impossible with high false negative rates and slow results.
