Can we just rewrite our texts to only ever refer to the “age if stability” (2015 epoch) and the “age of productivity” (2018 epoch)?

Neither? Epoch sounds ancient. Era makes me think of "earned run average" from baseball, and commercials that say things like "a new era of shaving technology"
