I don’t TDD because I can’t explore a design by writing experimental tests against nothing. I’ll test when I know what I’m testing.
@saalon but if it doesn't work, it's not conceptually solid, and how do you know if it works?

@Carols10cents …having a passing suite of tests can be a source of false confidence. -
@saalon is false confidence better than no confidence at all? (philosoraptor) - 1 more reply

@Carols10cents This assumes that concept and execution are the same to a degree that I don’t agree with, I think.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@Carols10cents The reverse could be said about testing: How do you know if what “works” is actually a robust idea? You don’t, but…Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@Carols10cents Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying TDD design doesn’t work for anyone. I’m talking about me. But that said, I’ve seen…Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@Carols10cents …enough fully-tested but conceptually askew codebases from TDD-ers to see a pattern of how it can poorly impact design…Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@Carols10cents …and that TDD doesn’t lead to good design any more naturally than another approach.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
