I love that book. But it might not be the best for someone who already knows how to program. Btw poignant guide is the first book I read on Ruby and made me fall in love with the language.

Agreed. I think all these book recs are better reference manuals than guides to get started. The
@pragmaticstudio Ruby course is excellent and will get you your Ruby OO feet wet and building small apps/Utils
