    But, it's heartbreaking that just $36 per person is the largest permanent increase to SNAP. At the end of the day, we know the solution to food insecurity: give people the $ they need to buy the food they want, how they want. Short of that, a formula isn't a solution. (3/3)

    Notably, the new plan assumes 'convenience foods' like canned beans that don't need to be soaked. That's a huge mindset change. Time is money, and our country doesn't have a good history of valuing the time of those facing poverty. (2/3)

    Welcome news today from the new & improved Household Pulse survey. Food hardship way down from a month ago. Hunger for R's with kids at its lowest estimate since the start of the pandemic! Huge 3.5 ppt drop. First data since CTC payments started.
