Okay wow, I said two words, I feel like aro and ace people get harassed of just left out of lgbt+ so I’m going to make a few points.

1: aro / ace people are told they will eventually become straight and some are even forced away from their identity. 2: asexual people aren’t all celibate, celibacy is a choice to swear off sex. 3: there are so many cases where aro / ace people are harassed for being ace.

3.5: and while most cases aren’t as extreme as being denied a job for being gay, others are. Some Aro people are forced into heterosexual relationships that become toxic, and lead to worse and worse. I’m not going to say any more than this, but I can if you ask nicely.

3.5.) This is not an LGBT issue either

As a lesbian who isnt ace, yes it is, they are part of the lbgt and you dont get to silence that. Theres no official or unofficial people in it, the people affected by orientation or gender are lbgt.

Is there any material downside to accepting that asexual and aromantic people are marginalized on the basis of sexuality/romantic orientation, and are thus part of the LGBT+ community? Or are you just angry?

Just came to mention that I'm not sorry but this isn't an oppression contest and ace people have faced oppression before so neither argument works. Thank you @CaroMarlowe for bringing this up. You are amazing.

this is about lgbt rights, and ace isn’t inherently lgbt

there's ace flags at stonewall, and asexual =/= heterosexual. they're also considered lgbtqa by the united nations. ace people are harassed every day (like you're doing now) and my friend is just trying to be proud of her identity, leave her alone

if what I’m doing is harassment, that means your friend is harassing op. also lgbt is either same gender attraction, or identifying as a gender other than the one you were assigned at birth
