Re the comment in [ ]s: If your reaction is an instinctive, "Wow, he's undisciplined," then... you're right! :D Because I don't actually believe in 'discipline'. Not in the slightest. Reason being: nowhere in the book of nature is it written, "One must self-coerce!"

Oh well. I've taken some notes to follow up on tomorrow. Or whenever I can! :/ G'night tweeps... 💤

One of the very worst things about early morning fixed-time obligations is that bedtime 💡 moments can't be immediately explored. Not without some measure of guilt/pre-regret, at least! Which really sucks. :(

The simulation argument self-refutes. If we live in a sim, then somewhere there's a real, physical computer simulating it (or simming the computer simming it, etc). And we live in _that_ reality: the reality instantiating the first simulator(s). As do all other sim-branches!

‘Popper was proposing a completely different way of thinking about science.’ - almost no academic philosopher notices or acknowledges this. They try to fit him into their own framework (certainty, induction, etc), when Popper rejects all their assumptions.

How much human potential is lost to fear of death? Or, for that matter, to 'accepting the inevitable'? :/

Not essentially. Actually! "All life is problem-solving," after all. 😊

One reason old dogs are sometimes averse to learning new tricks: They know they will soon die, and so cling to the known and the comfortable.

I know this is in good fun (ofc!), but *d e s e r v e*? :/ Seems altogether the wrong way to think about relations with other people, or how others should spend their time. I dunno! 🤷‍♂️ Thoughts?
