first time I heard the term it was without the toxic part, meaning that it was a term used by those people who didn't have relationships... I thought it actually emphasized an important aspect of our society. I guess internet ruins everything, again.

I find it deeply problematic, because “involuntary” suggests someone has been denied something, with the implication there was a right to it in the first place. There is no right to an activity that requires another human’s consent.

While I agree with the spirit etc.of your comments, my OCD notes that technically we have rights that nonetheless require sm else consent. Right to education req teachers, right to health care req health care practictioners and so on. All these cannot be forced, obviously.

And while the term now is creepy redpill lingo, there is psychological suffering when you are young, undesired and considered undesirable. And suffering can lead to rage, to finding scapegoats, to noxious reactions in general. We should help before they are engulfed by MRAs.

Suffering is real, but heck, I recall feeling unwanted and unattractive. I never once felt the need to hurt someone as a result. Those noxious responses are the result of pervasive cultural toxic masculinity - we need to break the culture *and* intervene with its adherents.

I never felt the need to hurt anyone as well, but some others may react differently, and as you say they can be validated in this reaction by a culture of toxic masculinity. Breaking the culture is important, as it is recognizing however it cynically feeds on real pain.

Most TFL just stay alone or become sadly accustomed i guess but some decide its a perminant and embrace it (such as Herbivore men in Japan) while others the sadness becomes resentment and anger at men and women who can form relationships or at least get laid. Thats Incel
