White people who claim there’s no racism completely ignore our objective, lived reality. everyday in a black body shows me that this is a constant in our lives.

So my son lives in an upscale high rise in Bethesda...and he's started to keep track of the white people who refuse to get on the elevator w/him.

This is a total mess. I respect the people of Iowa, they’ve been great—but it’s become very clear that our democracy has been misserved by a broken system.

I like how all of a sudden now that Bernie is running again people suddenly think that Americans are competent enough to understand his political philosophy without thinking "He's going to tax the job that I work at out of existence."

I have a request for anchors who plan to attend Trump's pre-SOTU luncheon after learning that Trump will exclude a network based on the content of its reporting. I hope you'll share your reasons for attending and indicate what he could do that would cause you to boycott an event.

  7. I'm reading a collection of Scott Nearing's writings, and it's like reading a current essay from today. His essays and books from 1911 about child labor and low wages are still spot on, and we still haven't learned the lesson. American society has some big changes to make.

Had a chat w/a white woman yesterday. She said she liked Bernie & but was gonna vote for Bernie. Intrigued, I asked her why? And she just shrugged. When I pointed out that the two essentially had the same policies, she said “I know.” This explained the 53% to me.

There were MANY people that reported caucus organizers did NOT allow non viables to join together!! They told non-viables they HAD to join a viable group which is completely wrong and incorrect.

Precinct capt declared that only Sanders and Warren were viable. With their first round preference locked it, a bunch of the Warren people left. Then the capt states that Warren is actually one vote short.

Here's my reality-based critique of the : the process disenfranchises citizens who have every right to vote. Some of those disenfranchised? Disabled voters (in violation, I'd argue of federal disability civil rights statutes), 1/

I'm just making sure I have the timeline straight - The app crashed, making reporting results impossible - With 0% of caucuses reporting, victory was then declared by Mayor Pete - Whose campaign funded the app - And whose employee is still posting app login info

I'm mystified that Buttigieg declared victory with 0% of precincts reporting, then justified doing so by releasing ONLY the data for HIS campaign with 75% of precincts reporting. He may or may not be right that he won 25% of the vote, but how would he know that was enough to win?

Why is this dude giving a victory speech?! And touting his tenure running a tiny city? No shade, but c’mon son! And did he just say he’s one step closer to being the next president?! Wayment, did he win the Iowa caucus? Did I miss that announcement? What is happening? *sigh*

The worst part of tonight's nonsense is the Iowa caucus non-event stepped on one of the biggest news stories in a while, which is that we found out tonight that TRUMP HAD A SECRET MEETING WITH THE CROWN PRINCE OF SAUDI ARABIA AT HIS (TRUMP'S) HOUSE A WEEK BEFORE THE 2016 ELECTION

Think about this: — Iowa is 90.7% white — Iowa is now the only state with a lifetime voting ban for people with a felony conviction — Black people make up 4% of Iowa's population but 26% of its prison population How is this representative of our electorate?

I’m not sure what “quality control” means from the Iowa Democratic Party, but I think what’s going on is the wide field has generated absolute chaos, making voting take longer.

Donald Trump’s disrespect for the flag would be shocking behavior for any other public figure. A city councilman would be driven from office. A country music star would lose her following. A preacher would lose his congregation. But what of this president?
