I am so weirded out by how many straight men do not think it’s a problem if their lady’s quality of life drops as the relationship proceeds.

The assumption that “sure, dating me means being uncomfortable and doing lots of extra work” is so striking. In some ways I can admire the audacity.

I can admire the audacity from a distance but my ethical standards prevent me from participating in a romantic dynamic or household situation that decreases my quality of life.

It damages kids so much to grow up witnessing mom being expected to be a masochist. And it definitely stunts men, and obviously it sucks the life out of women. No justification for it.
