Sometimes ppl aren’t saying your feelings and goals are incorrect, they’re saying your actions are not going to create the consequences you want. And it is completely up to you whether you agree with, or even consider, their take on yr actions.

Had that exact convo at our protest yesterday with a self proclaimed “trans lesbian” who referred to themselves as a “tranny” & began screaming at a woman with a “stop transing autistic kids” sign. They seemed to understand our concern but felt we were going about it all wrong...

They had no solutions for us except to talk to more trans people. My issue is that they referred to themselves as a “tranny” and then a “trans lesbian” (which even my trans ID kid thinks is odd) We were so far apart in our definition of reality that I wasn’t sure how to proceed.

That strikes me as a big problem if you have adult trans ppl sympathetic to yr concerns and can’t build a bridge there. Wish you had sent her my way.
