I find it heartwarming when parents are anxious about increasing the opportunities and resources for their daughters. Pretty recent that daughters received the same level of concern about those as sons did.

A 21st century American man just showed me how easily men prioritise the desires of other men's sons over the welfare of their own daughters. Is this how in other cultures, men forcibly marry off their daughters and ignore the abusive behaviour of their sons-in-law?

The confected cis/trans axis of oppression was created 4 just this purpose, to make females the 'oppressors' of males. & therefore concessions on women's part are a matter of social justice. Not just more of the same ol' male dominance. Every generation reinvents the patriarchy.

I guess it works if you genuinely see women as support humans for men. Once you believe that, it follows that women being allowed to assert any boundaries is cruel to the men missing out on a service they’re entitled to, and to the women taught to have unrealistic expectations.pic.twitter.com/wnIxFTBwSV
