What is a safety plan?
One of the most STRESSFUL moments for therapists in training is the first time you have to make a safety plan with a patient. Such a big, bad day. Then it becomes old hat, which is great bc boy are parents freaked out in that moment and boy do they need a relaxed therapist.

When a patient is suicidal/self harming/ dangerous to others in the home you make a plan for how to keep them/others safe.
