Sexism- inappropriate parentification, unequal and disrespectful treatment of moms and other adult female relatives- in family systems is an important piece of the puzzle for why so many teens don’t want to be she/her’s.

If yr daughter sees a future as an adult woman where she will do more work, not have her perspectives taken srsly, + be driven to emotional meltdowns through exhaustion, guess what? No sane person would want to grow up to be an adult woman.

My daughters exact stated reasons for her gender dysphoria which she could only see clearly and articulate with hindsight in her mid 20's.
