Instead of feeling hurt and sad why don’t you immediately shift from being aware of feeling sad to lashing out, as per our traditions?

What does “sensitivity” mean for an instrument? It means a higher level of awareness. It means that for people too. Validate your own capacity for awareness and let the accusations of sensitivity be regarded as the defense mechanisms they are.

If you want to REALLY enrage the “less sensitive” (which can be fun) just say “Yes I do pick up on a lot and that’s why I require downtime from exhausting experiences.”
