Honestly a lot of the advice on Female Dating Strategy is commonsense about human nature. So the people calling it crazy have to also add “(but a lot of it would work)” and idk: how does crazy square with generally effective?

There is some truth to this, but my high standards have probably also resulted in me being alone.
And i’m inferring when you’re alone it’s harder for you to be happy?

I've been alone most of my life. I have little experience with relationships. Most of what I think I know about myself is theoretical, but I imagine I would be happier with a partner. Also, my son has started noticing that he doesn't have a dad, and I don't feel great about that.

I would absolutely hate your son watch you endure low standards in a partnership. It would be v destructive for him to live with that. And the data shows it would be p dangerous, bc stepdad/mom’s boyfriend is the person in a kid’s life most likely to injure them.
