Bottom line if you’re gender dysphoric and you are making the hard choices re: who to pay to do what to your body remember life is long and pomo theory won’t buy groceries or pay for ER visits.

More than that don’t try to police how people tell their detrans stories and don’t try to delineate what the safe detrans stories to tell or listen to are.

Here's the thing: that's not what I wrote. I talk about the regrets I have quite openly. But I can see the outer and inner circumstances that lead to my transition while also acknowledging my own decisions in this. I don't rely on accusing others, especially vulnerable groups.

I read that thread as commentary on what detrans stories are ok to tell and listen to, based on potential imagined impact on trans ppl. The true stories of ppl’s lives are necessary and positive to tell and hear, regardless of fears of rhetoric.
