I challenge you to find a continuing education course for therapists that gives them any insight into the medical procedures rather than challenging them to “let your client educate you.” 3/

It makes me sad that the best mental health service we can offer people who experience gender dysphoria is charging them session fees to educate us about identity labels. If we’re going to counsel, we should necessarily have important information to share on the process.

I would love to see a script of how such a dialogue that you would like to see transpire. Seems it could be enormously useful in helping clients really consider what they themselves know and don't know, where they experience resistance and how they feel about risks vs benefits.
