Twitter was always a place where you could watch ppl who are p darn functional self-attack themselves w/ arbitrary standards of success, + it is straight up FASCINATING to watch the pandemic disrupt that.

Most of our lives are out of our control and this year really highlighted that. The old ways of beating ourselves up look even crueler and weirder under these conditions.

The pace of life slowed down considerably too. The old "go for the sake of going" attitude looks insane with just a few months' perspective
