Oooooh I also want to spread the news about how surgery for minors runs the big risk of leading to detransitioning minors but I DON’T think detransitioning minors should be have their faces in the media.

It’s been SO HARD, as an adult, to be in the media representing this path. I have often thought the personal downsides outweighed the upsides for the community. But at 16 being in the media would’ve totally broken me.

The judgment for being in the media, from ppl extremely close to me and total strangers, was awful. Young ones, please give yourself a break and protect your privacy until at least college.
