They grow into men who really, truly think disrespect should be ok in intimate relationships, because their parents considered it cute and acceptable when they were boys. So exhausting.

First hand experience. My father and brothers would laugh and ask if I was on my period when I lashed out at them for their bullying. I could be called any derogatory female name but I was not allowed to ever get angry or fight back.
