GC twitter has a knack for producing the most condescending replies to detransitioners. Then they are shocked, SHOCKED, you don’t appreciate strangers doling out cliches to you like you’re a 16 year old.

When I tweet re: the acceptance of distress that detransition requires, I am not doing it to get a “there, there” from randos. I’m talking to other gender dysphoric female ppl. Our conversations with each other are the important part.

I’m sorry people are like this. The idea it isn’t our responsibility to be sensitive about how we navigate conversations about other people’s experience is so destructive. People should treat detransitioners with infinitely more respect.
