When I tweet re: the acceptance of distress that detransition requires, I am not doing it to get a “there, there” from randos. I’m talking to other gender dysphoric female ppl. Our conversations with each other are the important part.

It's even worse when the detransitioner they are adressing is actually a teenager. I can put such comments into perspective, but I can only imagine how being on twitter would have affected me when I was younger, or if I was still questioning transition/detransition.

I get this too, and it's bizarre. IRL people tell me I come off as unemotional and competent, so it's weird when I get "oh you poor dear" responses online. I am talking about some crazy shit I used to be into, it's not that I'm about to have a mental breakdown.
