Ppl have such a strong emotional response to ADHD meds, in a way I don’t see for depression and anxiety meds. Hate to break it to you but ADHD meds can be completely life changing.

Probably because they’re given to kids more often... but I am totally with you. I recently saw a tweet that compared ADHD meds to “lobotomizing” kids. As a person with ADHD, starting meds felt like the opposite of being lobotomized. My brain works better.
Yes, I agree, it feels to me like my prefrontal cortex being reconnected to the rest of my brain. Such a relief to be able to follow the thread from “action now” to “results later.”
