Ppl have such a strong emotional response to ADHD meds, in a way I don’t see for depression and anxiety meds. Hate to break it to you but ADHD meds can be completely life changing.

For me, even w/ daily medication, the hardest survival skill to unlearn from growing up untreated is the impulsive yes. The impulsive yes is p key for an untreated little kid in a chaotic house, but as an adult impulsive yes’s are a ticket to burnout tantrums.

So what I’m saying is ladies, even if yr primary care doc thinks you’re nuts and you’re hearing a bunch of negative stuff from family and friends, go to a psych w/ a specialty in adult ADHD and get evaluated.

Life is a lot less depressing and scary when you are keeping track of your bills, paying them, following through on long term plans, etc.
