If I stated that Boylan’s writings and gender identification had made me weep, had made me suicidal, had terribly distressed me for years, would it be appropriate to ask Boylan to write differently or have different beliefs about gender?

Boylan is entitled to freedom of thought and freedom of speech, regardless of my emotional experiences. Rowling is entitled to the same freedoms regardless of Boylan’s emotional experiences.
