Side note: I once had a parent throw an angry fit in my office when I delivered my schpiel about being a mandated reporter. Swore, yelled, threw papers down, marched out. My old supervisor told me I should’ve stopped him + de-escalated to make my bonus productivity for the month

I feel like honestly i have not “gotten through it,” it’s taken a major toll. So I feel like a therapist is a necessity, and a partner who won’t dump you, and editing out every outside thing that was an energy suck.

It has v much clarified for me what relationships/interests were energy sucks. My off days are for recovery and I had to ditch a lot of social relationships/activities that were energy sucks.
