Also as weird as it was to feel just a lil bit like a zoo animal when the wealthy kids came to the inner city, it’s the kind of interesting experience I’m glad I got. So we were all winners, thanks Jesuits! /the end.

THIS. I feel like the current curriculum teaches them that their blessings/luck are a curse and they should feel shame about the good fortune they didn’t earn. Your approach is so much better and more useful and positive than pointing at privilege. Apply it, don’t shame it.
