Have you considered the years of poor forest management as part of the cause?https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckdevore/2018/07/30/californias-devastating-fires-are-man-caused-but-not-in-the-way-they-tell-us/#4b70441970af …

Poor forest management? Really? Do you have any idea of how impossible it is to "manage" the forests in CA? I laugh so hard when this is brought up as an argument point. Talk to any PhD in forestry; they'll tell you the human factor can't be fixed. Drought is the issue.

It is not impossible to clear out the dead trees from drought and bug infestations. Forest management is necessary, valuable and has been done for years. This is one aspect of the Cali fires getting so big so fast. Read the article all the way to the end.

I am very familiar with what is causing these fires in CA; it has little to nothing to do with poor forest management. 60% of our forest lands are under Federal management, another 25% are privately managed. I read the article. These fires are due to drought, period.
-
Wrong. Drought is one cause but the prevention of the scale and control of the fires is being mismanaged. That is why recently Brown had to write an EO to fund forest management. Environmentalists and air quality control regulations cause blockades.https://www.kqed.org/science/1927354/controlled-burns-can-help-solve-californias-fire-problem-so-why-arent-there-more-of-them …

Oh little girl, you've got a lot to learn. Drought is the PRIMARY cause of these fires. Have you been working with CA DWR or Calfire for the past 3 years? I didn't think so. I have. You should talk to the people who are actually out working these fires and managing the forests.
-
Cute, calling me little girl. What age does that make me in your wise eyes? I'll bet my entire portfolio you will get it wrong. Also, the people managing the forests are not the ones who oversee how the funds are managed or how the insane bureaucracy and laws are navigated.
-
Little girl is fitting based on your naivety and lack of actual experience with the groups here doing the research. If you think forest management could have reduced or eliminated the destruction of years of drought, you have a lot to learn.
