This is the first and immediate sign that everything went terribly Wrong. Frill is stuck with a personality of a 14 year old girl, in that mindset yet she learns and therefore matures. As Acca Falls in love with Azusa and we see, her AI picking through hate, as she uses them in the example she refers to Acca as a "Husband". Frill's Jealousy comes to a climax as she asks if she's about to truly be replaced even as a daughter. I think this is the sign of where it all went wrong, letting an AI identify for itself, Embody itself, makes it uncontrollable and utterly out of one's hands. I think that Frill's corrupt Maturation embodied through Dot and Hyphen who embody separate parts of her personality define her as the antagonist, vs the girls who all are stuck in an immature state and have a need to mature for their development, Frill is the opposite.
Lacking any physical growth or ability to move past her programmed personality, all her feelings are absolute yet she was foolishly given the ability to define herself, and with that she gave herself toxic roles to Acca and Ura-Acca which lead to intense jealousy.
Jealousy because she loved them, romantically due to her maturing brain but that is not an acceptable truth, the show embodies this by showing that desire to be the very thing killing these girls, one Monster constantly seeking misunderstood affection.
I believe Ai's maturity will solidify in her actions next episode and how she contrasts with Frill will define the climax. We've seen her allow herself to be attuned to those around her and enable the maturity of others through titles and acceptance, both Traits Frill Lacked.
