Notch on vs notch off. Honestly, I’d rather take the screen real estate than hide the notch.pic.twitter.com/EE3LQy5QQD

But the screen real-estate is hardly usable (info). Its so deep into the screen It cuts off Content. whoever thought it was a good idea to add a notch to anything needs to reconsider life. We get big screen phones for big screens.. If your gunna. Notch anything.. Teardrop it.

No, ew. That much extra screen isn't worth it. Samsung has the idea, S9+ is peak 2018 phone

Note 9 is a little better.. They can trim some of that bezel down tho.

Disagree. Anything less and your hands would be touching the display just by holding it.

NOTE 9 with flat screen and iPhone X like bezel minus the notch.. Cases help keep fingers from edges (if you use a case)

But then that makes cases necessary. And they have a curved display and a notch to get it that close to the edges, which raises costs.

Na... Oppo and 6t and essentials got that close with a flat display.. I mean lose the infinity edge nonsense

Pretty sure they don't have a better screen to body ratio.

Why couldn't they just keep the info up top and make the notification bar black? It would hide the notch but you would still get the extra space.

What gets me is.... they didn’t even do the notch hiding correctly. They should have left the notifications up in the black..... Oh google
