    Happy Thanksgiving to all. Looking forward to canning some traditional cranberry sauce, experimenting with a cranberry / orange / amaretto sauce, and making cranberry syrup. Making some awesome apple cider jelly too! What are you ?

    I started making applesauce today... Until I remembered there's such a thing as apple butter. My house is about to smell amazing!!!

    Tomatoes-a-plenty = Goodies-a-plenty! What are you ?

    Yes, I publish, write, and edit, but some friends were super generous with tomatoes this year. That means pico de gallo, salsa, and a weekend full of chow chow and pickled tomatoes.

    This is one of those cases where the jars look so great you don't ever want to open them! What are you ?

    We did one of our last big harvests from our garden yesterday. Cucumbers, tomatoes, & Walla Walla sweet onions. Today Kam helped me cut them all up & we canned them with a sweet, pickled marinade tomato, onion, cucumber salad

    I traded manual labour (peeling tomatoes) for iPad time. We have 1 iPad and they are allowed 15 min each. Yes, I am that parent!
