    the common understanding of trans women in the 90s-00s was that they were exclusively attracted to men. The very idea of trans lesbians was either a joke or fearmongering (see "autogynephilia", a word that any trans lesbian on the internet will be familiar with)

    like in my experience, which is obviously not universal but many other trans gays have vibed with, i was inexplicably drawn to queerness, lesbianism and transness particularly, but believing myself to be a straight man, i felt i didnt actually belong there

    have there been any studies done about thw average age of transition for different types of trans people? because anecdotally id guess that trans lesbians are the most likely to transition older due to the assumption of being straight men
