For 90 years, Canada and #Japan have built a strong bilateral relationship. Minister Freeland is pleased to attend a reception to mark this important anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, and to announce her visits to #Tokyo and #Seoul.pic.twitter.com/Dr411hL1bS

Good luck, not sure any country wants anything to do with the current Canadian government unless said country is Islamic or UN connected,,,,corrupt UN needs to be disbanded, and don’t even think for a min that the UN is anything but corrupt

This mindless twitter pap should stop; achieves no useful purpose and is simply unconvincing propaganda. By the way 90 years ago was 1928. There was the not-so-"strong bilateral relationship" during #WWII, 1941-45. At least some people under @cafreeland should know something.

Do you disagree with the statement, "#Canada and #Japan have built a strong bilateral relationship"? If so, why?

Indeed since around the 1960s but hardly a 90-year thing. And "strong" may be a bit much, rather, say, "mutually beneficial".

Of course my interpretation of the history, based on the facts as I know them. @cafreeland tweeted following, yet were no diplomatic relations from Dec. 1941 to 1952 (San Francisco Treaty), so not 90 years of "relations" but around 80. But facts? Meh.https://twitter.com/cafreeland/status/976620226081992704 …

War is a kind of relationship, but that is neither here nor there. You are splitting hairs, for no reason that I can fathom. Her statement is factually correct.

See clearly meant "diplomatic" relations as those were established some 90 years ago in 1928 when a Japanese legation opened in Ottawa. Later they were severed for those ten years. Not splitting hairs. And clearly @cafreeland was not referring to war as a "relationship".
