If your paper is worth it to students and provides value, they will pay the fees. They have the choice...isnt that true democracy?

If your publication is as great as you claim it to be, then sell it to students. If you can't sell it, then clearly your publication is terrible. Students want lower tuition, not to be forced to pay for a publication that may not reflect their views.
